Post hoc ergo propter hoc, meaning "after this, therefore because of this", is a logical fallacy that assigns causality to sequential events. For example, event A happens then event B happens, therefore A causes B.

Cum hoc ergo propter hoc, meaning "with this, therefore because of this", is a similar logical fallacy that applies to events that happen together rather than sequentially.
