202512232233 Develop the habit of finishing

Art doesn’t get made on the clock. But it can get finished on the clock.1

Similar to 202310241510 Stop starting, start finishing, we should develop a habit of finishing our projects, our work, our art, and releasing it into the world. This habit builds up confidence, momentum, and consistency.1 It also reassures us that there will be more to come, more opportunities to create even if this project didn’t turn out how we hoped. This is the abundant mindset. The idea that a river of ideas and creativity flows through us that will never dry up and all we can do is dam it up or let it flow.

Finishing and letting go of a project also makes room for regeneration — finding a freshness within ourselves for the next project.
